This Privacy Policy explains how SWFTAREA Limited ("SwftServe", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the SwftServe mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using SwftServe, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and phone number when you register.
- Delivery information — pickup and drop-off addresses, recipient names and phone numbers, and location data used to dispatch riders and complete deliveries.
- Order information — the items you order, order history, notes, and delivery preferences.
- Location data — with your permission, your device location to show nearby vendors, set delivery addresses, and enable live order tracking.
- Payment information — payments are processed by our payment partner, Paystack. We do not collect or store your full card details.
- Device & usage information — device type, app version, and basic usage data to keep the Service secure and improve it.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and process your orders.
- To dispatch riders, deliver your orders and packages, and provide live tracking.
- To process payments securely through Paystack.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To send order updates and important service notifications.
- To prevent fraud, protect users, and keep the Service safe and reliable.
- To improve our features, performance, and overall experience.
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to provide the Service:
- Vendors — order details required to prepare your order.
- Riders & dispatch — the pickup/drop-off details and contact information required to complete delivery.
- Payment processor — Paystack, to process transactions securely.
- Service providers — trusted partners who help us operate the Service (e.g. hosting, mapping, messaging), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Legal — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights and users.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion at any time (see below).
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and continuously improve our protections.
6. Your rights
In line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and applicable laws, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@swftserve.com from your registered address.
7. Account & data deletion
To delete your account and associated personal data, email support@swftserve.com. We will process your request promptly, subject to records we are legally required to retain.
8. Children
SwftServe is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
